Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
After completing the volunteer packet, passing a background check and attending orientation, you can select the program where you would like to volunteer. Activities may include the following:
- Teach the youth a special skill such as piano, guitar, sewing, pottery, sportsor art.
- Help staff with day-to-day activities and events at the Christmas Box House and the Group Homes
- Participate in activities and help plan classes at the After-School Program
- Be a professional mentor for a low-income youth
- Intern throughout the Division
- Service learning credit through your college or university
One-time volunteer
Our one time volunteer opportunities are either for groups who want to plan an activity with the children or teens, or for individuals who want to come once before committing as an ongoing volunteer. These activities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan crafts or games to play with the children or teens
- Holiday parties and activities
- Sports clinics or mini-Olympics
- Dance Camps
- Maintenance projects to maintain the campus
- Eagle Scout projects
