Division of Youth Services
In Home Services
In Home Services provides intensive family therapy and case management with the goal of keeping the family together. Most of these families have youth who are ungovernable, runaway, truant and delinquent. This program helps to strengthen families and prevent the youth from becoming heavily involved with the court system.
Services are primarily provided in the family's home, school and community. Services depend on the strengths and needs of the family.
Referrals to the service are made from Court Intake Probation Officers, some schools, and from within Youth Services. In-Home Services also provides adoption respite for parents of special needs adopted youth.
In-Home services include :
- Counseling with parents and children
- Parenting education
- Budgeting and financial help
- Crisis intervention
- Connecting with other family and community resources
- Frequent visits with the family
